Crown Green Bowling

Established in 1898, Uppermill Bowling Club is located behind the Cricket Club Pavilion.  We are a thriving, welcoming and inclusive club with over 100 members.  The green is one of the best maintained and attractive in the area.  In recent years we have improved our facilities, adding security fencing, improved shelter from the occasionally inclement weather and a new bowling clubhouse incorporating kitchen facilities and a disabled toilet.

 

We currently run 15 teams in the local leagues, (mixed, men’s and women’s, both veterans and open age group) playing most days of the week in the afternoon or evenings.  The green is always available at times when there are no matches or maintenance work taking place. Friday afternoons and Sundays are always good times to come along.

 

We have an active social section and organise a number of events and competitions throughout the year.

 

For newcomers we offer introductory sessions in the summer months.
